Policy:
At JARR Ranch our main policy is to have a hunter realize his hunting dream of a lifetime. This can only be accomplished through agreement of hunter and the JARR Ranch. Hunter agrees to follow safe hunting practices, conduct and rules. JARR Ranch agrees to make every effort to have the hunter enjoy himself and feel like family, and make every effort to ensure that the hunter gets his hunt of a lifetime.
Rules:
- The non refundable deposit must be received prior to having a hunting package booked and confirmed.
- Upon arrival at camp, hunt fee final payment will be finalized if not done prior to arrival. Hunting contract and Release of Liability forms will be signed. Refusal to sign contract or release will stop the hunt and hunter will be escorted out of the King Ranch.
- Prior to arrival, hunter will ensure that he/she has a valid Texas hunting license. All hunters must have a valid State of Texas hunting license. Non-resident hunting license is $300. All hunters born after 9-1-71 must have a Hunters Safety Permit.
- All guns will remain unloaded at all times while at the camp or while in vehicles. Loading of guns may only occur once in blinds, on stands or instructed to do so by JARR Ranch personnel.
- Hunter will have his gun sighted prior to arrival, and if unsure of scope’s accuracy JARR Ranch personnel will assist in helping hunter sight his gun at camp range.
- Rifles of .270/30-06 class or larger are recommended. Minimum caliber accepted is .243/6mm.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed while hunting or consumed just prior to hunting. Drunk behavior will not be tolerated.
- Littering is prohibited. No trash may be thrown or left behind at camp ground or blinds and must be disposed of at proper locations.
- All-terrain vehicles will be provided by JARR Ranch.
- These are one on one guided hunts. Hunters will not be allowed to wander or hunt alone.
- Hunter may use a scoped rifle, black powder rifle, or bow and will be able to hunt from a blind or tripod stand unless otherwise instructed by the guide.
- There are no kill guarantees; as hunter may decide not to shoot his game, but his deposit will not be refunded.
- A wounded animal is considered a kill. JARR Ranch personnel will make every effort to locate it.
- Hunters cannot cross fences to hunt nor to pursue wounded game.
- Quiet still cameras and small handheld video cameras are allowed in the field.
- All sheds, skulls, artifacts, rocks and minerals are property of the JARR Ranch, and may not be removed from the ranch without the consent of JARR Ranch.
- Violation of any rule, on any hunt, will result in forfeiture of all hunt fees and hunting privileges, and all hunters in the party will be escorted outside the King Ranch boundaries.
